The accreditation process for the  International Football Awards has started . The deadline for accreditation applications is 1st   March 2009.

From December 22nd until the end of February, members of the public can nominate players free of charge in 16 categories at the Awards’ web site – www.internationalfootballawards.com. These nominations will be whittled down to shortlists of four in each category and the Official IFA 2008 nominees will be announced in April at press conferences in eight major cities: Buenos Aires, Rio De Janeiro, Dubai, London, Cape Town, Geneva, Paris and Tokyo. The public will then be able to vote, again free of charge, to choose the winner in each category.

The actual IFA awards show will be held on the 15th of  September 2009 . Successful applicants will be notified and provided with further information in due course. All applications are subject to confirmation. International applicants are responsible for their own visas.

Media representatives who have not already registered for the IFA Media Channel are requested to do so at http://internationalfootballawards.com/pressreleases  as early as possible. The IFA Media Channel is a registration-only area on www.internationalfootballawards.com  providing media professionals with tailored content.
